At www.blairricker.ca, all products and services are unique, personalized, and carefully crafted. To protect both clients and the integrity of the work, the following Refund, Damage, and Reviews Policy applies to all purchases, bookings, and interactions.

By purchasing, booking, or participating in any service, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.

1. Custom Artwork

• All custom artwork and commissions are non-refundable.

• Deposits for commissions are non-refundable under all circumstances.

• Refunds for custom artwork are considered only in exceptional and unique circumstances, at the sole discretion of Blair Ricker.

2. Reading Materials and Digital Content

• All books, prompts, workshop materials, downloads, or other reading materials are non-refundable.

• No refunds will be issued due to dissatisfaction, change of mind, or user error.

• These items are considered final sale due to their unique and immediate nature.

3. Damaged Artwork During Shipping

• If artwork is damaged in transit, it will be repaired at no cost for labor or materials.

• The purchaser is responsible for shipping costs to and from my studio for repairs.

• Liability for shipping damage is limited to the repair of the artwork and does not include any other losses.

4. Special Circumstances

Refunds outside the above scenarios are considered only under exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to:

• Significant errors by the artist that materially deviate from the agreed-upon commission

• Unforeseen circumstances that make fulfillment of a service or product impossible

Even under these conditions, refunds are rare and issued solely at the discretion of Blair Ricker.

5. Review Verification Policy

• All client reviews are valued and taken seriously.

• Any review rating of three stars or below will not be considered verified, final, or publicly recognized unless the client has contacted Blair Ricker to address and attempt to resolve the issue first.

• Clients are strongly encouraged to reach out to resolve concerns prior to posting low ratings to ensure fairness and accuracy.

• Reviews that violate this policy, including false, misleading, defamatory, or intentionally damaging content, may result in legal action.

• Blair Ricker reserves the right to pursue remedies available under the law, including but not limited to:

  • Seeking a Norwich Order or equivalent legal process to compel the disclosure of the reviewer’s IP address and other identifying information

  • Pursuing claims for damages, injunctive relief, or other remedies under Canadian law or applicable jurisdiction

• By submitting a review, you acknowledge that you have the opportunity to contact Blair Ricker to resolve any issues prior to posting low ratings, and you accept that failure to comply may result in legal consequences.

6. Comprehensive Release of Liability

By purchasing, booking, or participating in any service, you expressly agree to the following:

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you hereby waive, release, discharge, and hold harmless Blair Alyssa M. Ricker, operating as Blair Ricker, and any and all related names, business entities, affiliates, partners, contractors, assistants, successors, licensees, representatives, or assigns (collectively “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, or causes of action, known or unknown, arising out of or related to:

• Use of this Website, services, or materials

• Participation in any session, program, class, workshop, or event

• Physical, emotional, mental, or financial outcomes experienced as a result of engaging with the Released Parties’ content or services

• Errors, omissions, technical failures, or interruptions

• Actions, statements, or advice provided by the Released Parties

You acknowledge that:

1. You voluntarily use the Website and services at your own risk.

2. No warranties or guarantees are made regarding outcomes, results, or satisfaction.

3. The Released Parties are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including personal injury, emotional distress, or financial loss.

4. You agree to indemnify and defend the Released Parties from any third-party claims arising from your use of the Website or services.

5. This release extends to all past, present, and future business forms, including any professional corporations or non-profits associated with Blair Ricker.

This clause is intended to be as broad as permitted by law, and if any portion is invalid, the remainder remains in full effect.

7. Limitations & Legal Protection

• By purchasing or booking, you agree that you cannot hold Blair Ricker or any affiliated entities liable for dissatisfaction, change of mind, or outcomes related to your purchase.

• All decisions regarding refunds, repairs, or review disputes are final and made at the sole discretion of Blair Ricker.

• This policy is legally binding and designed to protect the artist and all affiliated entities from claims, disputes, or legal repercussions.
